I recently went home to Yuma, AZ for the holidays. Every year when I go I wish I had more time and a couple of models with me. This year I decided to plan ahead and the day after Christmas I had a bridal portrait session in downtown Yuma! I teamed up with Veronica Garcia, a very talented Yuma MUA. Thank you to Denise for modeling!
Earlier this year I bought this wedding dress at my mother in law’s bridal shop, Earth Angel in Porterville, CA. I think I’ve photographed 5 different models wearing this dress. It’s amazing how it looks so different on each model.
When ever I have a shoot there are 3 things I look for. Bright colored walls, a tall building that blocks most of the sun and has a reflective sidewalk and a place with lots of ambient light for off camera flash. I found all that and more in downtown Yuma.
I really love the new police department and city hall in Yuma. Very modern Southwest architecture.
We ended our session at Red’s Bird Cage.
If you would like to schedule a bridal portrait session before or after your wedding, give me a call!
