This week I attended WPPI, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, an annual convention and trade show held every year in Las Vegas. If you can imagine 16,000 photo enthusiasts from 40 different countries milling about the MGM checking out the latest camera equipment, software and photography products, then you can imagine me amongst them with a permanent smile on my face! I met so many friendly people this year! Sports photographers, commercial photographers and wedding and portrait photographers of all ages all with one thing in common, a passion for photography. I also learned a lot and can’t wait to try out some new techniques.

One of my favorite finds at the trade show was an app and free attachment for my iPhone (or Android) so I can start taking credit card payments on the spot! With Square, you just plug in a little square and you can swipe credit cards anywhere you can get cell phone reception! I also fell in love with Kelly Moore bags. They are the coolest purse like camera bags I have ever seen! I love the leather and the lining and can’t wait for my new hobo bag to arrive. Another great find was the Switronix LED light with a dimmer switch! I love shooting at night and have struggled with focusing in low light situations and with this little light, those days of struggling are over!
